Application Guidelines

The applicant should be a registered undergraduate (preferably) or a graduate student meeting the following criteria.

• Over 18 years of age;
• Possess great academic standing (has the equivalent of a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) score of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 or a B or a 7.5 out of 10);
• Fluent in the English language for academic purposes;
• Will continue his/her studies at his/her home university after completing the AsTW program.

Application Process

Applications from AsTW Consortium Member Universities

Applications will be processed at the AsTW Office, International Student Exchange Division, Kyushu University

Applications from Universities outside AsTW Consortium

The following required documents must be submitted by December 31, 2025:

• AsTW Application Check List
• AsTW Application Form-1
• AsTW Application Form-2
• Academic Transcript issued by home university (Original)
• Reference Form
• Essay in English (Title: Why I want to join AsTW?, 800 to 1000 words)
• Language Proficiency Certificate (official English language test score or Statement of English Proficiency)
• Diploma (for postgraduate students)
• Certificate of Health
• Certificate/Proof of Enrollment

Travel Arrangement

Accepted applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline set by AsTW:

• Flight Information to and from Hanoi
• International travel insurance certificate (copy)

International Travel Insurance

All AsTW students must obtain health/medical and accident insurance for the period of AsTW.

Participation Requirements

AsTW regards students' participation throughout the program term as essential. Students must arrive at Vietnam National University, Hanoi on March 2, 2026, and stay until the final event of the closing ceremony on March 12, 2026.
